i used this tutorial
the exciting part is that it didn't even cost me a dime! i had the fabric from a couple of years back and my mamaw had given me some matching thread a couple of weeks ago! wooo!
now back to a BUSY BUSY week of class. so maybe next weekend, i'll make something more exciting!
So proud of you Ky that's awesome. If I pay you will you make me a skirt?
ReplyDeleteUm, wow. I saw this when she posted it and want to make it so bad! you did such an awesome job! what kind of fabric did you use? i love love love it. and you look great! :)
ReplyDeletebrit... i'm not good enough to be paid... come on over and we can sew it together.
ReplyDeleteamy- it was like a super thick cotton... not exactly sure what it's called. i had a lot of trouble with the hem... extremely hard. and i added about 5 inches to what she says to start with (i think 23 is what she recommends). and my legs are super huge and i don't have a whole lot of room to walk...so i need to cut a slit. so when cutting i would also recommend not going in inches.... maybe only 2 instead... but your legs are a lot skinnier than mine. :)
Cuuuuuuuuute. I am so impressed Ky Ruth.
