lavender

i bought some lavender from our farmer's market.  it made my whole week.  it smells soooo nice.  it's really sweet and subtle when you pass by it.  not like the super strong scent of something from bath and body works.

the next time i go to the farmer's maket here, i'll take my camera so i can show you :)  they have everything you can buy in a grocery store.  there are 4 local organic farms that sell every kind of produce you can think of.  you can buy local cheese, honey, grass fed beef, free range chicken, and milk.  it's awesome!  the farmer's market is 3 days a week and during the saturday market there are about 100 or more different craft and local trade booths.  i wish you could come with me next saturday.

new bathroom *dreams*

okay so i'm really digging the color yellow right now.  yellow and grey for house decor stuff.  especially after looking at this living room!!!! and i've been dreaming about redoing our bathroom, maybe if i ever find a job here in Eugene! :)

but here are some ideas and things that i found that i really l/o/v/e:

first of all look at this bathroom from Elle Apparel blog.  She has a tutorial for an anthro shower curtain, but i don't think i have the patience to do it or the money to buy one from anthro!  anyway check out her CUTE bathroom here.

so here is what i'm looking to get some day...

the yellow one, of course!

eugene sneak peak

paul went on a bike ride last night and snapped this photo.  it's a bit blurry from the fog on the camera lens because of the sweat.  (ewww gross!) hahaha.

(click photo to enlarge)

it's beautiful, isn't it?  i finally recharged the battery in my camera, so i promise to take more pictures to show you guys my new home.  i hear it has been pretty hot in the US this week.  would you throw a spit wad at me if i told you that it's been in the 70's everyday here :)  all the more reason to come visit me, friends!

vegan in eugene

is so much easier than in PA!  it's wonderful!  the first night we were here we ate at this restaurant called cafe yumm and paul asked for his food without cheese and sour cream.... we didn't get any strange looks and the lady actually replied, oh, would you like our dairy free option?  how sweet is that?!

last night we had dinner at a restaurant called 'the pizza research institute'.  we chose a mouth watering vegan pizza with asparagus, spinach and fresh tomatoes.  they had a vegan sauce choice, and let me just tell you... A-MAZ-ING.  it was this garlicy creamy sauce. yummmm.

picture taken with cell phone... it actually looked way better than this.

well, we don't technically have internet, someone around our complex doesn't have a password on their wifi, so we're borrowing it until we get ours.  so hopefully i can post more again soon :)

new. car.

since we are moving to Oregon, Paul really wants a 4-wheel drive.  so we started looking for a new car.  we know of a phenomenal car salesman if you need a car. he has mostly hondas on his lot and he is a solid guy.  Dave Carothers is his name.  Check him out if you're interested and tell him that Paul and Kylee sent you :)

so we got a west coast kind of car since we will soon be west coasters ourselves.  we LOVE it!  i never thought i would be driving a bright orange box on wheels element. i used to hate the look of them, but now i seriously love it.  come visit and we'll take you for a ride!

looks like a tortoise, runs like a hare.

it is so spacious!  it only seats 4, like a jeep wrangler.  so the back seat has so much leg room!

the seats fold up to the sides so that we can haul our bikes inside the car, or really just haul whatever we want.

and of course, we wouldn't buy anything other than a manual.   since i'm such a control freak, i feel more in control of more car when it's a stick shift... especially in the winter :)

what a blessing!

well, this is probably my last post for at least a week.  since we are moving tomorrow, we probably won't have internet for a while :)  prayers are greatly appreciated.
