kenmore

is the name of my sewing machine.  it was my grandma's, then my mom's. now it's mine.  i like that.



so tonight, i manned up a bit and decided to try it for a spin.  the last time i used it, my mamaw (what i call my grandma) helped me make a vest... in 5th GRADE! so as you can imagine, i don't remember ANYTHING.

i really wished my mamaw lived 5 minutes from me so she can teach me everything she knows.

but tonight, i learned to thread my bobbin!! woo! and i worked on my straight lines and learned about tension.

i'm excited. but i have sooo far to go.  i don't know how to use all of the different settings of the sewing shapes... i only know how to use the straight line... not the zig zags, etc.  hopefully one day i will conquer this.

but thank you mamaw and mom for the sewing machine.  mom, i hope you don't mind that i stole it from your house :)

and here is my cute little puppy posing for the camera.  he needs a hair cut!
