are. you. still. so. DULL?

we're expecting another 8-15 more inches of snow today (on top of the 27 inches we just had saturday).  so all of my classes were cancelled.  and i should be doing homework. but i figure i'll probably be snowed in all day tomorrow. which i'm really excited about because it means spending more time with my awesome hubby and my poodle, des.

so i figured out a good title for my blog! my middle name.  thank you lupe and trav.  if you haven't read their blog you need to.  clck here... they're hilarious.

so paul and i have been listening to rob bell's sermons online every week.  if you don't know who he is... stop whatever you're doing and read ALL of his books. NOW. he has been preaching out of matthew.  so i keep reading the book of matthew over and over.  i really love it.  if you're looking for some good teachings... here you go.

today i read matt 15.  i am a woman of many questions.  in the 4th grade, my teacher, mrs. frost, told me that my brain works differently from everyone else... and to NEVER stop asking questions.  so i always ask questions.  one of my favorite things about Jesus is that he always answers a question with a question!  instead of just telling you the answer... he asks soul searching questions that you can feel in your gut... with which much genuine soul searching... we try to find the answer and we begin to understand him and his love and what he's all about.

he answers peter, his disciple (a dude who has been following him around everywhere soaking everything up that jesus says like a sponge--- side note: whenever i think of jesus and the 12 disciples, i think of a group of frat boys and it makes me laugh) "ARE YOU STILL SO DULL" hahahahahaha! it makes me laugh so hard.

i feel like this should be the quote of my life.  i feel like most of the time, i miss the entire point. I promise that Jesus isn't a jerk... read this passage before you decide on his character.

Later on in chapter 15 jesus heals the sich and feeds the hungry, just like he does throughout all of the recordings about his life.  this makes me really excited!  you know how everyone is always really good at something... well i'm not. i'm not REALLY good/or talented at anything.  i'm really into learning about jesus and i try to live like he does (although most of the time, i fall extremely short of that).  today, i realized how thankful i am for the passion i have for medicine and learning how to treat the sick.  although i can't perform miracles... it makes me feel connected and i really like jesus because he did so much good for the sick. just a thought....

well i now need to get to work on my homework... i hate general chemistry. it rules my life.  but there will be a good ending to my hard work!  they say if you hate general chemistry... you're usually pretty decent at organinc (which i'm taking in may). so i sure hope that rumor is true!

off to work...
maybe i'll make some yummy mad cap coffee that rach and ryan just sent in the mail to go with my homework! mmmm... then atleast a bit of my afternoon will be delightful :)

  3. Kylee!!!!! I'm so glad you found my blog, and that I've now found yours :) We definitely need a phone date, let me know what works for you. No snow here anymore, just rain. I'm glad we aren't getting the snow you are in PA as much as I still love snow, that much snow would shut down the state indefinitely lol.

  4. Kylee Ruth!! I'm so happy and glad and stoked that Trav and I had something to do with helping you pick a blog title. I'd say it's a pretty darn good one. It is quite the lovely middle name. And what a beautiful new last name you have thanks to a certain beautiful husband. I miss and love you guys so much. I can't wait to see you all again. And just so you know, aside of just inspiring us to make a blog, we mainly made it for you. To share the Travis and Lupe stories that we would normally call you up and have you meet us at a coffee shop to tell. I mean, it is of course for all our friends to read and laugh at. But gurrl you know what I'm trying to say. God bless you my dear friend. Take care. Stay warm.
